November 5 A minor Oops in Tarnagulla journalism

1870
Otago Witness newspaper (of NZ) published the following;

The Dunolly and Bet-Bet Shire Express is responsible for the following, "Caught Dosing. The following was issued by our Tarnagulla contemporary, and he is now very anxious to have every copy returned to him. He certainly got the start of us this time.
'Courier Extraordinary. By electric telegraph. Melbourne, 11th October. War! French and Prussians outside Melbourne Heads. Everybody pressed. First engagement in Bourke street last night.' "

Hark!
Is that the Prussians at the door...?!
