January 30 Theft at Newbridge

A daring robbery took place at Mr Simpson’s store at Newbridge, tobacco and cigarettes to the value of 25 pounds were taken, while 2 tins of benzene and 2 tins of kero were also taken, but the kero tins were found near the bridge. The distinctive tyre tracks were traced as far as Maldon.
