February 9 Fisticuffs at 20 paces

A National Reform League meeting was held at Dunolly while Berry and Grant were there – it was a most disorderly meeting that ever took place, several fights broke out and the police were called but they were unable to restore order, the meeting broke up in confusion.
Mr. Berry said nothing new, and only referred to the combination against the Ministry.

Remember, Mr Ritchie had formed a National Reform League branch in Dunolly  only a month earlier which resulted in equally disruptive behaviour.
