December 29 Darstardly drunken doings in Dunolly district

1858
A miner at Alma, George Robinson (Swedish) was in the habit of getting drunk with his common law wife, Margaret Brown until he dropped her by her ankles into a 60 feet deep hole, despite the best efforts of others to stop him.
Margaret was dead when her body was recovered.
