December 3 Death in Dunolly

A serious matter occurred here last night. Two young men, named Hunter and Watts, employed at Nicholl's, bakery, were proceeding to have a bath, in the, creek, when, some alternation ensued between them and Ah Chee a Chinaman. Stones were thrown, one striking the chinaman, and fracturing his skull. He was taken to the hospital hut gradually, sank and, died, within a few, hours after his admittance. An inquest will be held tomorrow. Hunter and Watts have been arrested and are now locked up.
