January 2 Death in Dunolly

1886
Strange Death at Dunolly. On Saturday morning an elderly man named Joseph Wade, a well-known resident of Gooseberry Flat, was found lying outside his hut in an insensible condition. He was conveyed to the Dunolly Hospital but expired very soon after admission. He had a wound on the forehead, but it is thought this was caused by a fall. An inquest, however, will be held.
