August 26 On This Day in Dunolly & District History

1861 The application forms for residence and cultivation of crown lands will be received by MW Anderson of Dunolly.

 1862 First of several Mining leases applied for porcelain clay by the Dunolly Porcelain Company.

 1936 At a meeting of the Loddon Valley Football League Woodstock was suspended following transfer of a player. Woodstock was given until 27th to send an apology to the secretary and president of the league, failing that the club will be suspended and won’t take any further participation in the competition.
