27 August, 2015

Winter ills and chills saw a smaller number of members attend the August meeting. Nonetheless it was very cosy in the hall with the fire blazing away.
During the morning, Craft Co-ordinator, Pam Brightwell, showed us how to make cards in the shape of a little girl’s dress. The completed cards looked very pretty and we were very pleased with our efforts. There are so many lovely embellishments about nowadays that “dolly up” and turn the quite ordinary into something special. So thanks, Pam, for all your efforts.

This month, our competition was for an article starting with “R”. Only Joyce would think to bring along a rabbit trap! She won too.

Members are reminded that our September meeting will take place at 10.30am and in the afternoon we will have a working bee in the cemetery to tidy up around the Pioneer Memorial. If wet, we will have craft - a felt bird which can be worn as a brooch or a hair accessory.
