13 August, 2015

We held the August meeting on Wednesday 5 August at 10.30am to allow time for the International Day lunch.
The Group Conference was held in Heathcote on Monday 10 August, but none of our members were able to go.
We discussed the town cake stall for the Great Victorian Bike Ride in November and agreed with plans made for it at a meeting on Monday.
We agreed that proceeds go towards the refurbishing of the Hospital gardens.
The branch is to host the Car Boot Sale on Saturday 12 September. Members are asked to be at the Church grounds about 8.00am – laden with goodies. The raffle is to be for a $50.00 meat voucher from Dunolly Quality Meats.
The International lunch got started a bit later than was intended and went on longer than was anticipated. In other words, the food was good, the room warm and the company great.
After all this, we reckoned it was too late to start the planned clear-up at the RSL, so it was postponed – but it WILL happen.
We anticipate that President Jan will be at the meeting next month – we look forward to her return.
