A big thank you to all those who came to the Community Art Project meeting held last Tuesday at
the Dunolly Neighbourhood Centre.
With lots of great ideas and enthusiasm we came up with a theme: CYCLING, BIKES, WHEELS ... use your imagination...!
THE IMAGINATION STATION is an ART CENTRAL community art project that will see the installation of outdoor exhibition spaces across the shire. The Imagination Stations will feature art works made by the community that can be changed every three to six
months. These community art projects will be facilitated by one or more of the local artists who have
been training with Art Central as part of this exciting project.
For the first IMAGINATION STATION, our community artists Judy Meldrum, Philip Ashton and Anna Ashton invite you to the next planning meeting.
Wednesday 26 August, 6.00 pm till 7.00 pm, Dunolly Town Hall Meeting Room.
We will discuss the IMAGINATION STATION project in more detail and the natural extension of this art project into a broader town wide art celebration/ decoration to welcome the riders on the Great Victorian Bike Ride in December. Our proposed timeline will be workshops during September with the work finalised in mid October.
If you can’t make it, but would like to be involved in workshops, please phone Philip, 0418 507 347, and we will keep you in the loop.
All the imagination station art projects across the shire will be brought together and displayed in the regional art gallery in Maryborough in December.
PLEASE JOIN US! All ideas and input are welcome, and no arts experience is necessary...just energy!
