1869 A miner known as Maori Bill found a 20 oz nugget on the Old Lead.

1878 Contract for the Dunolly - St Arnuad railway has been given to Messers Monie and Mullison for 72,000 pounds.

1899 Two little girls playing in the street at Tarnagulla picked up a nugget weighing 1oz.

1921 Mr O’Shea and his wife were thrown out of a gig, Mr O’Shea’s leg was broken while Mrs O’Shea suffered abrasions, bruises and shock.
