1876 King Tommy Clark, the "last of the Loddon Aboriginals", was introduced to the Governor Sir George Bowen, at Baringhup, where he claimed the country as his own and told him “I have no sheep, I have no cattle but I have plenty of big paddocks which you can come and see, if you like.”

1936 The newly remodelled Dunolly Hospital was officially reopened by Premier Mr Dunstan.

 1949 Easter Monday During the Back to Dunolly celebrations there was a procession to the Golf Links for a picnic basket lunch, in the afternoon there were sports for young and old, at 8.30pm there was an old time Come Back Ball held in the Shire Hall.


1949 During the Back to Dunolly celebrations at 10am there was a procession to the school, followed by a cricket match and sightseeing in the afternoon, with the evening taken up with reunions of organisations like the RSL, Lodges, etc.
