1859 First races held in Dunolly, it was reported that the after-race dinner at the Mt Bealiba Hotel was an evening to remember.

 1863 First meeting of Bet Bet Road Board held at Company’s Hotel Commercial Road Tarnagulla.

 1901 The tender of James Davies of 99 pounds 8/8 was accepted by the Borough Council for metalling the main road between Dunolly and Moliagul within the borough.

 1906 A large meeting of the local ratepayers was held in the Bealiba Mechanics Hall to discuss the inadequate water supply for the town.

 1910 A resolution from the Dunolly Council was read at the Maryborough Council drawing attention to the fact that Secondary and Tech schools could only be erected in larger areas of population and that children further out were disadvantaged. The proposal was for railway passes for children to attend school in Maryborough, although declined by the Education Dept., the council moved to support the proposal.
