November 22 On This Day (Nganko Nyawiyu) in Dunolly History



1910 School teacher at Betley, Mr Parker, was getting onto a horse when it suddenly threw him, dislocating his shoulder.

1926 A bazaar held at Tarnagulla in connection with the Dunolly Methodist circuit was successful, raising £68 . In tennis Murphy’s Creek lost to Tarnagulla 5 to 3, and after the second round of association matches has been completed Tarnagulla leads by 6 points. A recent death at the Dunolly Hospital led to the close examination of an old well at Tarnagulla where typhoid germs were found in the water, orders to destroy the well were issued.
